The department of Mass Communication Kaduna Polytechnic holds their MSSN Orientation on the 13th of September 2023, which took place at the Chemical Engineering Theater with the theme; Civilization in Islam, Examination ethics and Qualities of a good student.

The chief Imam of Kaduna Polytechnic Mallam Abubakar Sadiq Yusuf however speaks on the topic “Civilization in Islam”, while speaking he enlightened the students not to adhere to the Western Civilization which does not conforms to the Islamic teachings but to stick to the Islamic rules of Civilization.

Mallam Abubakar also outlines some of the characteristics behind Islamic perspectives which are : to worship Allah, purification of the soul and Dignity of man. Moreso, he states that the Islamic Civilization is based on oneness of Allah and oneness of Islamic society which he explains as having Taqwa and brotherhood among Muslims.

Still following the event, the HOD of the dept Dr Gambo Ahmad Ibrahim speaks on the qualities of a good student as a Muslim. During his lecture he urges students to be a good representative of Islam where ever they find themselves and to posses good behaviour and self decipline.

He also advices students to attend classes in order for them to understand lectures so as to avoid memorization during exams. Still speaking, he added that students should learn to manage their time to study ahead of exams.

Also, the Dean of the department Mallam Labaran Umar also speaks on the topic ” Examination ethics”. He defined exam ethics as the rules and regulations of exams. He also added that Muslim students are suppose to be the light of Islam and they should deceit from any act of examination malpractice in the campus in order for them to graduate.
